Elektrik faturasını azaltmanın yolları daha önce bir kaç yazıda belirtilmişti. Bu yöntemlerin dışında akıllı sayaçları kullanmak gerçekten faturaları azaltıyor mu? Biraz planlı olur ve rahatınızdan ödün verirseniz cevap evet.
Akıllı sayaçlar, elektrik abonelerine şebekenin yoğun olmadığı saatlerde daha ucuz bir tarife uygulayarak şebeke yüklenmelerini azaltmaya yöneliktir. Akıllı sayaçların diğer sayaçlara göre iki farkı bulunmaktadır. Birincisi saat ekranı isminden de anlaşılabileceği gibi elektroniktir. İkincisi ise, bu sayaçların asıl önemli özelliği, günün farklı saatlerinde ne kadar elektrik enerjisi kullandığınızın raporunu tutmaktadır. Analog (normal) saatlerde tüketilen elektrik bir zaman ayrımını tabi tutulmaksızın toplam bir değer olarak faturada belirtilmektedir. Ama eğer kullandığımız akıllı bir sayaçsa faturamızda sabah akşam ve gece saatleri olmak üzere tüketimimiz üç aşamaya ayrılmış olarak görülür.

(06:00 - 17:00) arası gündüz, normal tarife.
(17:00 - 22:00) arası puant, pahalı tarife.

Akıllı sayaçları kullanırken şunlara dikkat etmek gerekir:
Saatinizin akıllı sayaç olması ucuz tarife için yeterli değildir. Bunun yanında elektrik dağıtımınızı yapan kuruma üçlü tarifeye geçeceğinizi bildirmeniz gerekiyor.
Akıllı sayacın ve üçlü tarifenin ekonomik olması için çamaşır makinesi, bulaşık makinesi gibi fazla enerji tüketen eşyalarınızı gece diliminde kullanmanız gerekir. Eğer planlı olamayıp bu zaman diliminde kullanmazsanız normalden daha fazla bile ödeme yapabilirsiniz.
Normalde sayaçlar saatlerin geri veya ileri alındığı zamanlarda kendilerini otomatik olarak ayarlarlar. Fakat bu geçişlerde problem olup olmadığını kontrol etmenizde yarar var.
Akıllı sayaç kullanımı için rahatınızdan da biraz ödün vermeniz gerekebilir. Örneğin gürültülü bir çamaşır makineniz varsa, gece iş yapmak istemiyorsanız, aşırı sıcaklarda saat 22.00′den önce klimanızı çalıştırmak istiyorsanız akıllı sayacı bir daha düşünün.
